Shelby's Horror Picture Show vs Nate's Drag Race

As good as he was in finding his path through the shady bussinesses of the world, at understanding and defininf where he stand and when, Nathaniel couldn’t really say precisely what his relationship with Shelby turned into.
He knew the basics – he wanted to fuck that man and he wanted Thomas to be safe.
He couldn’t call it love, they both were too practical and too focused on their own ambitions, to admit to have feelings. Thomas especially, after Grace’s death. But Nate knew he wasn’t indifferent toward the Shelby’s family head and his fate.
His prick wasn’t indifferent either.
And thus, one more business transaction between their corporations – one greatly favouring Shelby, lead both of them to Nathaniel’s bedroom. And Nate, having the upper hand in negotiating the ‘payment’ for the new contract, was prepared.
He could see the second Thomas realized that a nice, black dress, ,ridiculously high high-heels and more of the women’s accessories are in fact, meant for him. Oh, the look Thomas sent his way! Nate had to stop himself from snorting inelegantly.
“We had a deal, Tommy,” he said, slowly gauging the other’s reactions. “And I need a partner for tonight’s ball. Don’t worry, I already told my friends that my girl is shy and doesn’t talk much. But ooh, she has all the looks she needs to get around.”
“And she’ll be quite happy and excited for what comes after the ball. Isn’t that right?”
He teased Thomas with a smirk.

Thomas couldn't stop himself from sending Nathaniel an incredoulous look. Nor from expressing himself - rather quite loudly.
"What the fuck is that?"
The dress which Grace would propably want to wear, the heels which seemed ridiciously high, even for, well, high heels, lingierie, and... wig? Was that a fucking blonde wig?
Thomas did his best not to show just how confused he was. He still wasn't fully comfortable around Riverside and therefore didn't like to actually express himself, but right now... Well. He couldn't help it. It took a moment for the information to sink i and then the confusion dissappeared, replaced by disbelief and irritation.
"Yes, we did have a deal." Shelby gladly agreed, nodding his head. "Our very first deal included securing my buisness and position in London. Not ruining it. I believe this... thing, here, breaches the first deal quite fucking strongly. Come on, Nath, what the fuck? Firstly - I am not going to wear a dress. Secondly - I have no fucking clue how to walk in high heels. Thirdly - there's no way I can pull that off, no one will fucking mistake me for a woman, and definitely not for a fucking lady. The looks? Please. Look at me. And I don't even have the manners."
He didn't smirk. Instead he just grabbed the dress and eyed it doubtfully. Well, the size was strangely accurate. Shelby put the dress down, bent down and took a shoe instead; it was roughly his size as well.
Nathaniel took his time and prepared everything in advance. Shelby was truly, absolutely, completely fucked. When Riverside took things seriously, Birmingham's king usually had no choice at all.
"Fine, fine! But don't say I didn't warn you."
Thomas sighed loudly, grabbed the clothes and went to the bathroom, only to reappear about half an hour later, his wig in a very strange position, shoes held in hands.
"I look ridicoulus. And I am NOT wearing the heels."

If Nathaniel was overly invested in this risky, crazy endevadour then, well, he couldn’t help himself, could he? The vision of Thomas Shelby dressed like a woman haunted him since the war and right now, he had the power to make his dreams come true.
Besides, he had seen Thomas pretending to be someone else, parodying people, just to make his brothers smile during the darkest of times. The boy had had talent then and Riverside firmly believed that it hadn’t disappeared – instead, was just not used anymore. And tonight he wanted to change that, he wanted to see Tommy play pretend one more time.
And if he had his maids teach him how to do a spot on party make-up just so he can put it on Shelby’s gorgeous face? The devil will welcome him with open hands and congratulations.
“Evening hasn’t even started yet and you already look nicely fucked, sweetheart,” he joked, smirking as he hooked his eyes on Thomas and could not help but stare. “Not quite breath taking but we’ll get that effect in a sec. Sit on the chair.”
The face Thomas made when Nate started to do his make up was even better than the one he made at the beginning of their meeting. Cute. (As fuck.)
After all was done, the wig in place, make-up worthy of the most expensive and elegant russian “escort”, Thomas didn’t even look like a man anymore. And Nathaniel could see Tommy noticed how big the change was by the way he looked at himself in the mirror.
“You know, you could fuck over half of London,” he said. “Have them thinking a blonde beauty stole all of their money straight out of their pockets and they wouldn’t even consider a Shelby behind it.”
Only the heels remained as the last challenge.

"You will look nicely fucked up if you won't stop with stupid comments."
Well played, Mr Shelby, well played! That was an answer that a grown up, stoic chief of local mafia should give.
Thomas felt fully justified in his irritation though. There was no way he could pull this off - was quite good at doing impressions, could change his voice a bit, but he was still a guy. And a quite manly one, then one was thinking about a classic definition of a word. Tall, with reasonable amount of muscles, sharp jaw. Make up could maybe define his lips more, they were always quite full (for a man), but the rest? Just impossible.
If Riverside was so desperate to fuck Thomas while he was dressed up as a girl, he could try to do so without the whole escort shit. It wasn't gonna work anyway.
Only.. It really could work, Thomas realised, as he stood up to look at himself in the mirror.
"What?" Birmingham's king really did not recognize himself. Because he wasn't looking at himself - slightly surprised lady who was staring back at him from the mirror, tilting her head in confusion just couldn't be him.
"Oh. Well. Fuck me." Thomas blinked few times.
Wow. He had eyelashes; well, of course he had, they didn't magically appear right now, Shelby just kind of didn't notice them before. His hand went to his face, gently tracing a line from right ear to the chin ans he automatically licked his strangely full, (kind of kissable, and if that wasn't weird as fuck,then Shelby didn't know what was) lips, trying to get used to the lipstick.
"I actually do look like a noble girl. A nice one. Good job with... those colorful things for face. But why the fuck do you even know how to do make up?"
Riverside didn't immediately answer. Instead he passed Thomas a pair of high heels.
"No. I am tall enough. And I can't walk in those. Nathaniel, no means no."
Well. Apparently no could start to mean yes if one was persistent enough. Riverside proved himself very persistent, and soon enough Shelby day down to put damned things on his feet.
Well, now he could sit and look nice. Because he definitely couldnt fucking walk.
